Last Saturday Lord Kitchener paid a short visit to Athens.
He was received by King Constantine, and also visited the Premier and the heads of the Greek Army. Afterwards the Cabinet had a long sitting. It is believed in Athens that a much nearer approach has been made to a settlement of the question of hew the Allied troops shall be treated in the event of their having to cross from Serbia into Greek territory. The Athens correspondent of the Times says that the Greek Government have given verbal assurances that they would not attempt to interfere with the Allied troops, and that the basis of an agreement has already been established.
