Blimey O'Malley!

Sir: Considering the life he has happily always contrived to lead, it was perhaps not surprising that Paddy Leigh Fermor, in his worthy tribute to 'Andrew Kennedy' (`The one-legged parachutist', 7 January), should have made the Freudian slip of rechristening O'Reilly the late Sir Owen O'Malley, that admirably brave British diplomat and loyal friend of Poland.
