Shakespeare Street
At the coach station in Loughborough in the freezing early morning a bare sub-zero bus stop frozen snow lying, and piled I slapped arms, walked legs - till I saw, two-storey-modest Shakespeare Street, Leading into the bus-busy square not a mean street but by no means a very grand one, no cloud-capped towers and I thought, as I froze there, some Councillor must have felt bardic sometimes they use wives or girlfriends for the more difficult naming Shakespeare Street. With a shop on the corner selling cigarettes and early papers.
