of unemployment are bringing X the GOvernment into the most difficult times they have yet experienced. The abstention of their Left Wing in the division on the unemployment debate on Monday left them to scrape through with a majority of only fifteen. Sir Oswald Mosley's resignation was the signal .for the revolt to harden. On Thursday, shortly after we write these words Sir Oswald will challenge the Government at a special meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party. The wild talk about an early dissolution is not justified by the facts, but it is obvious that the Government : cannot afford any mistake, and 'must make up their minds to treat unemployment ' as by far the most urgent political qUestiOn if they are-not to lose respect and antlioritY. • * * * *
