The Country Heart (Allen and Unwin, ls. net) is a
well- written little magazine that will appeal to all who are interested in village life and in the resuscitation of peasant arts and pastimes. The April number contains, among other things, a very readable short story, " Madman's Metropole," by Miss Maude Egerton King, and a description, by his wife, of the peasant home of the late Professor Sieper, who was a keen student of early English literature.
