We observe an article in the Spectator, which is plainly
written by some person possessed of local knowledge and possessed by local bias on the subject of Canada.—Globe, March 6. [The insinuation of the Globe is misapplied. Our article on Canada was indebted to no local knowledge of the subject, except that acquired by its in our ordinary studies, and mainly from the immediate perusal of the Com- missioners' Reports. " Bias " it may be impossible to avoid where we entertain decided convictions; but we can truly assure the Globe, that we have none other—for instance, no pecuniary or selfish bias either pro or con. Few of the Ministerial writers can say as much.]
