Worth seeing?

Sir. From The Spectator's (September 25) Worth Seeing in London . . . 'sensitive handling makes even incest seem acceptable.' With our faces in the gutter, are we all losing sight of the stars; You who read this (and someone must, if only to classify it as of no interest for publication), are you content to ignore standards of eugenics and morality that have existed throughout history? Incest is a known evil, and between mother and son — as in this case — surely the basest, yet in no critique of this film have I detected even a hint of censure. Is this ' acceptable ' to you? Can't you see the age-old cycle of decline and fall that has been repeated throughout history, if you do accept?
