Sir: May I correct Will Waspe on two counts in his reference to the Daily Mail (June 1).

Film critic, Cecil Wilson, is not "being retired" but is retiring at his own .request at the age of sixty-five.

Theatre critic, Jack Tinker, is not being moved over to films but Margaret Hinxman is joining us from the Sunday Telegraph to become film critic.
