According to a Reuter telegram from New York about one
hundred American business men, financiers, and economic experts have formed a society, called the " National Economic Association," for the purpose of educating Americans to a better understanding of taxation, tariff, and financial and economic questions generally. The organizers of the society include Mr. E. H. Gary, chairman of the United States Steel Corporation, Mr. Lindley Garrison, former Secretary of War; Mr. Otto H. Kahn, banker, Mr. Thomas W. Lamont, banker; and Mr. Henry Morgenthau.
