Diana was a native of Hoxton. She had three lovers—a

sculptor, a dilettante, and a fanatically religious Scotchman—all of whom she steadfastly refused to marry. This is Mr. Hutton Mitchell's first novel, although he is well known in other ways. We feel he can, and will, do better.
