"Parson Sal" deserves to be singled out from the crowd

of stories in the July number of Belgravia on account not of the plot, which is commonplace enough, but of a distinct though as yet undisciplined power of characterisation which it exhibits. The name of the writer, C. Lewis Hind, is new to us.
