Creatures of Other Days. By the Rev. H. N. Hutchinson.
(Chapman and Hall.)—Mr. Hutchinson knows how to invest paleontology with interest for the ordinary reader, though, in- deed, it is a subject which is daily becoming more fascinating and widely known. Let those interested in natural history buy Creatures of Other Days, and similar books, and they will provide themselves with an endless fund for reflection. The rela- tion of extinct to living forms is handled in a most instructive manner, and it is this branch of the science which ought to in- terest an observant and intelligent reader more than any other. The book is well illustrated.
