We regret that the demands on our space have prevented
us from dealing fully with the visit of the German pastors to this country, and must be content with expressing the hope that the cordial welcome they have received from the representatives of the various Churches, both in London and the provinces, may tend to strengthen the bonds of amity between the two nations. The meeting at the Albert Hall on Monday night was largely attended, and a message from the Prime Minister was read in which, on behalf of the Government and in the name of the British people, he bade the visitors a hearty welcome, and assured them of "our sincere desire to co-operate with you in the promotion of peace and goodwill among nations, the cause
which has been specially committed to the care of the repre. sentatives of the Churches of all countries and creeds."
