There is something frank and ingenuous about it, rind tho descriptions of the gardening of the heroine, Nina, are pleasantly written, but the hero is really too fond of apostrophizing her as " woman of the brown earth and flowers." is a pleasant book, and the characters in it are refreshingly well- behaved people, who all act from the highest motives.
