No such stereotype
Sir: Richard Ingrams reveals his prejudice when he complains that in the television seriesfesus ofNazareth 'none of the characters looked like Jews.' May I inform Mr Ingrams that there is no such thing as a Jewish stereotype. This has been recognised by the police who abandoned the description 'of Jewish appearance' some years ago.
Incidentally, at least half a dozen of the actors in the excellent dramatisation by Franco Z,effirelli are in fact Jewish.
