GENERAL VON WERDER.

Sin,—The statement that General von Werder accompanies the head-quarters of the Russian army, alluded to in an article of your last number as possibly false, is correct, in so far that the German Attache Militaire bearing that name, and named to this post long before the outbreak of any disturbances in Turkey, is with the Russian Staff, as well as other foreign military attach. This officer, however, is not the General von Werder who com- manded in the siege of Strasabing.—I am, Sir, &c.,
