An edition of Smollett's Translation of Gil Blas, with the

hu- morous and spirited wood-cuts, from designs by the clever French artist JEAN GIGOUX, that illustrated the original, and printed in a similar form, makes an attractive addition to the library. The characteristic designs will give the English reader a new zest: their number and talent make it a striking picture-book.
