THE DEATH OF NAPOLEON Sta,—The abnormal amount of arsenic found
in the tissues of Napoleon's body is to be explained by the antimony preparations used by his doctors.
The minerals of antimony are usually found in association with those of arsenic and the tartar emetic employed was probably manufactured from an antimony compound contaminated naturally by arsenic.
Another associate of antimony is lead, an therein may lie the explanation of Napoleon' toothache. Murderers need not be sought. The would only multiply the hypotheses.
