Vacant.

Mr. Govan Duffy, who represents New Ross, has gone to Australia, but has not vacated his seat. The Honourable F. Villiers, late M.P. for Ro- chester, has accepted the Chiltern Hundreds. Sir Robert Price's bank- ruptcy will probably lead to a vacancy for Hereford. The mortality during the recess of 1864 was much greater than is pre- sented by, the preceding details. No fewer than thirteen deaths,- four of them by casualties in the Russian campaign, fell to be noted as having oc- curred during the recess of 1854,—a period of less than four months. Dur- ing the present' recess, which has already extended to four months and a half, the deaths are only five. The only Members of 1"arliament now in the Crimea are Colonel Kings- cote, M.P. for West Gloucestershire, and Lieutenant-Colonel the Honourable P. Herbert, M.P. for Ludlow. The following Members have served in the Crimea—Sir De Lacy Evans (Westminster), Sir James Ferguson (Ayrshire), Captain Jolliffe (Welk), Colonel Maxwell (Cavan), Hon. Ashley Pon- sonby (Cirencester), Lord Adolphus Vane Tempest (North Durham). Lord Adolphus Vane Tempest is about to resume his duties in the Crimea ; and the Hon. Major Knox (Dungannon) proceeds thither on active service.

The following Members have lost sons—Sir William Jolliffe, Mr. Mackin- non, Sir George Pechell, General Buckley. Lord Eleho, Mr. Layard, and Viscount Monck, have lost brothers. No member of the naval profession who has served in the Russian war had a seat in Parliament during the time of his service. Lord Raglan is the only Peer who lost his life in the Crimea. The following Peers have lost sons—The Duke of Sutherland, the Earl of Wemyss, the Earl of Waldegrave, the Earl of Kinnoull, Lord Braybrooke (two), the Earl of Cork, Earl of Clare, Earl St. Germains.

The following Peers have lost brothers—Lord Panmure, Earl of Listou-cll, Lord Cremorne.

Peers who have served in the Crimea—The Earl of Lucan, the .Earl of Cardigan.
