The Wanderings of Ulysses. By Professor C. Witt. Translated from
the German by Frances Younghasband. (Longmans.)—Here we have the story of the Odyssey given with mach detail. The work is well done, both by author and translator, as might be expected from what We have before had from the same source. The thing wanting is, of course, "distinction" of -style. What of Homeric tone there may be in Professor Wilt's German we do not know, but we cannot see any of it in the English of this volume. Bat this does not detract from—in one point of view it adds to—its merits as a story-book.
