Memory lane

Sir: I have been commissioned to write my autobiography — I can scarcely say 'my memoirs' since I remember practically nothing — and would be most grateful to hear from anyone with first-hand recollec- tions or anecdotes which might be re- levant. All letters will be copied and returned. I would also be grateful for information about the whereabouts of shared acquaintances, which are still alive, which dead, etc.
