Some Passages in the Life of Plantagenet Paul. By Himself.
(Digby, Long, and Co.)—There is a want of finish, an inconse- quence, about these reminiscences which seem to show that they are fairly faithful transcripts from life. The writer describes himself as having tried various paths to fortune, and found them lead to nothing. He attributes his failure to not having been educated for any set object. Doubtless he is right ; yet there are some who overcome even this difficulty. Let us hope that this book may bring him some benefit, and in bringing it do good to others.
