The Banks of Issue have given a handsome testimonial to

Mr. William Rodwell, of Suffolk, in recognition of his long services on their behalf. He has for nearly forty years acted as the mouth- piece of the country banks of the kingdom in their negotiations with Government. A similar testimonial was voted to him after the Bank Act discussion of 1844.
