St. Bartholomew's Hospital in Peace and War was the subject
chosen by Dr. Norman Moore for this year's Redo Lecture at Cambridge (Cambridge University Press, 2s. net). The hospital was founded at the beginning of the twelfth century, and since then it has many times received wounded soldiers and sailors within its walls. In Charles IL's reign, for instance, beds were reserved in it for eighty wounded seamen, whereas to-day it harbours two hundred soldiers, and its staff also have charge of a large base hospital,
