tint,—With reference to your oorrespondent's letter suggesting the planting of a forest along the via sacra, would it not be possible to plant different trees representing the countries of those men who have fought and died ? If this scheme were carried out, oaks might be planted in memory of the English, maples for the Canadians, Lombardy poplars for the French, Scotch fir and pine for the Scottish regiments,
