The Italian telegrams during the week show that our allies
are now pushing their offensive bard against the Austrians in the place where it can give most help to the Serbians—on the Isonzo. It is very greatly to be hoped that the Italians will be successful here. If they could break through on this frontier and capture Trieste, the moral, apart from the military, effect would be excellent. In the Trentino the Italians are also showing a good deal of activity.
