Last night, two meetings were held in the Metropolis to
celebrate the anniversary of the Polish Revolution in 15:10—one at the Crown and Anchor, the second at Exeter Hall. The firet passel ott' quietly bin the appearance of Major Benyowski at the second produced a row. The Poles denounced him as a Russian spy ; while that Chartists took his part. The Allarainy ChronivIc reprt. says that "every person in the body of the meeting rose, and with fist or stick belaboured his nearest opponent." Benyowski length got upon the platform, where "he preseuted a very miserable appearance." He proteeked that he was no spy, with the greatest vehemeace. [These annual meetiees cannot beuefit the Poles. On the contrary, the exhibition of their bit- ter dissensions tends to excite disgust.]
