Progress in the Reign of Queen Victoria. By the Very
Rev. F. W. Farrar, D.D. (Bliss, Sands, and Co.)—In this very eloquent lecture Dean Farrar gives a vivid sketch of the advances in civilisation, knowledge, power, and wealth made by this country during the sixty years of Queen Victoria's reign. Often as the same subject has been treated during the last six months, it would not be easy to find a better summary. The profits of the sale are to go, we may take the opportunity of saying, to the "Canterbury Cathedral Thirteenth Centenary Fund."
