The Midnight Sunrise and The Star of Hope. The Latin
arranged and translated by the Rev. A. J. Ross ; music by G. C. Hamilton. (Cocks and Co.)—We are glad to see Mr. Ross going on with the good work he has commenced. The first of these two pieces is a translation of the lieautiful Latin hymn Nativitas Domini, arranged in four parts, with solos for each, a chorus, and an unaccompanied quartet. The second is an arrangement of Venit Rex as an anthem for Advent. The music is well suited to the subjects, and the quartet _hither Laetus, in the latter piece, a really beautiful composition.
