All the Year with Nature. By F. Anderson Graham. (Smith,
Elder, and Co.)—These eight-and-twenty papers, collected from various newspapers and magazines, describe the life in the woods and fields during the four seasons, sketch some human characters we associate with the country, and relate poaching
and fishing anecdotes. We find plenty of observation and some good hints in the writer's natural history, and he is an excellent story-teller, and gives the point of a story without dwelling too much on it. This is a readable volume of sketches, and superior to most of its kind.
