This one is not equal in bulk to some, but
it is of good liierary quality, particularly well printed and handsomely illustrated.
Mr. Guy Boothby's serial story, "A Maker of Nations," runs through the volume. Fiction, indeed, is a prominent feature in the magazine, but there is much that is readable besides. We may mention a very pleasant account of the British Embassy at Washington.—Another periodical will be sufficiently com-
mended by its own name and that of the editor. This is Mothers in Council, edited by Charlotte M. Yonge (Wells Gardner, Darton, and Co., Ss.)
