A telegraphic message from Athens states that King Otho had

arrived there on the 15th. His entry took place with great ceremony, the English and French troops lining the road.

With respect to Herat, intelligence from Constantinople states that "the besieging force had concentrated itself around the place, and was awaiting reinforcements. The besieged had reestablished their commu- nications with Affghanirstan."
