There is revolt in every line of Mr. Siegfried Sassoon's
work, revolt against history, traditiOn, the crowds in Hyde Park, the Daily Mail and vinous academic discussions on Socialism. His insurgent Satirical Poems (Heinemann, 3s. 6d.) are very modern and well worth reading by those who would study the spirit of the times. These verses may not be great poetry, yet some of them may -live, for they say neatly and incisively what some people feel, especially when their livers are rather out .Of order.
