Spectator's Notebook
EKE many others I thought there was some- thing distasteful about the performance in the House of Commons last Thursday night by the three members of Mr. Wilson's praetorian guard whose privileged questions to the Home Secretary led to Mr. Profumo's personal state- ment on the following day. Again like many others, I liked Mr. Paget's contemptuous dis- missal of the sanctimonious way in which his Labour colleagues had chosen to bring the rumours into the open, and I am sorry to hear that he has been ticked off for it.
