BRITISH INSULATED CABLES.
The report of the British Insulated Cables, Limited, was a distinctly good one, and at the annual meeting it was shown that the profit for the year was £685,980, as compared with £617,951 for the previous year. The company pays a further dividend of 10 per cent. on the Ordinary Share capital, making, with the interim distribution, a total of 15 per cent. for the year. Even then there is the substantial balance to be carried forward of £280,806. Moreover, £100,000 is provided for depreciation on property and plant and £198,333 is added to the Reserve.
