"WE WHO ARE DEAF"
[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—Will you allow a deaf woman space to thank " H. II." for his charming and sympathetic notes on deafness in the Spectator of January 15th ?
It is rare indeed to find one who understands both sides of the sad position, for it is even more trying for those who live with us than for ourselves. We have many compensations, love of books, memory pictures, &c., and we must always be grateful to Providence for leaving us our sight.—I am; Sir, &c.,
A DEAF WOMAN.
