Partridge and Co. 3s. 6d.) —Here are some fifty sketches of great men and important events during the first seven hundred years that came after the close of the Gospel story. The first chapter gathers up the scanty traditions about the Apostles; the latest, in point of time, gives an account of Baeda. The stories are simply and adequately told, but we cannot admire the illustrations.
