Late night slip

Sir: On my return from Spain last week, I was so fatigued by the late nights there — do they ever go to bed, those Spanish? — that I made an embarrassing slip (And another thing, 21 November). When I wrote 'St Francis of Loyola' I meant, of course, St Ignatius Loyola (though St Fran- cis Xavier would have done equally well). Paul Johnson
