This week's Bank return being very favourable, the directors have

further reduced their minimum rate of discount to seven per cent. A corresponding movement has taken place at Paris, where the rate is now six per cent. The stock of bullion in the Bank of England is 13,713,9431., and the reserve of notes and coin 7,947,138/.
