I am very glad that the Home Secretary, as chairman
of the Government committee dealing with war-histories, has given his blessing to the proposal put forward by Mr. E. H. Keeling, M.P., for an official history of AngIO-American co-operation in the war, to be prepared jointly by a British and an American writer. It is an inspiring story, which deserves to be told quite apart from the history of the war as a whole, and Mr. Ede was very right in saying that it should take the form not of some weighty official tome but of
a much more colloquial narrative. JAt.tus.
