LECTURESHIP IN ITALIAN

Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Italian. Applicants. whose mother-tongue must be English, should hold an Honours degree in . Italian Language and Literature and have had postgraduate experience in Italy. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience In teaching the History of the language and Italian Drama.

(b) SENIOR LECTURER or LECTURER in GERMAN REGIONAL STUDIES (c) ASSISTANT LECTURER in FRENCH LANGUAGE Candidates for posts fa) and (c) should be virtually of bi-lingual standard in the languages concerned, and should have spent some time in the relevant language areas. The persons appointed will be re- quired to teach undergraduates in a new lour-year course in Linguistic and Regional Studies. Research interests are encouraged. Salary scales (under review): Senior Lecturer £l,845-£2 210 p.a.; Lecturer £1.645- £I,650: Assistant Lecturer £1,015-£1.730 according to age and experience. Assistance towards removal expenses will be con- sidered.
