President Wilson has decided to come to London on Thursday,
and will stay at Buckingham Palace till New Year's Eve. We write on Tuesday, before the event, but we are sure that even the Lon- doner's traditional unwillingness to leave his home on Boxing Day, except to go to a theatre, will be forgotten in his desire to give the President a rousing welcome. The President is to receive the freedom of the City at the Guildhall on Saturday. He will go on Sunday to Carlisle, where his mother's family lived, and on Monday he will visit Manchester, to be inducted as an honorary citizen. The President's visit will be all too brief, but it is good to know that we are at last to have the privilege of seeing the great American to whom and to whose countrymen we owe an infinite debt of gratitude.
