Gracious lady

Sir: Thank you for the mention in the arti- cle 'Still fading away' (6 November), via the medium of Tabby Troughton, to whom I award 5 out of 10.

She has quoted me as saying that Mrs Thatcher 'is a bitch'.

Over many interviews, any of my refer- ences to Mrs Thatcher have been quite the opposite, e.g. 'I found her very gracious and I value the message that she found time to write when she had corgis and her friends snapping at her heels.'

I would appreciate any effort you make to remedy this danger.
