Pius XII should be demonised for his role in the second world war, and perhaps he did act heroically.

However, I do think it would have been appropriate for John Laughland to give the side of the story of the Jewish members of the acrimonious historical commission. From published accounts, it is impossible for me to tell which party is at fault, or whether both are.
