SUN-DIAL INSCRIPTIONS.

[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."] SIR,—One of the best modern sun-dial inscriptions which I have seen is by the Rev. E. Z. Lyttel, Vicar of Woodville. It could hardly be more pithy or more apt. It reads thus

" How we go, Shadow show."
