Sir: A correspondent was recently regretting in your columns (30 May) that Forbidden Journey by Ella Maillart was out of print. Some of your readers may be interested to know that this remarkable and indomitable woman is shortly off on her travels again to Chinese Turkistan. She is now 78 and still cycles about Geneva, a city that is frightening enough in a car let alone on a bike.
