Pwposes. Bf Fairbairn, C.E., F.R.S., F.G.S. ThirdEdition. (Longman and This valuable work, which has been some time out of print, is now tdered to the architect and engineer in an improved form, the chapter on wrought-iron bridges especially having been enlarged, and formulas given from which to calculate the position and strains on the strata and tension-bars of bridges on the lattice principle.
