Happier apart
Sir: In order for Mrs Sturdy-Morton (The price of dementia', 5 June) to avoid confis- cation of her husband's occupational pen- sion, would it be possible for them to undergo a legal separation? Presumably, she would then be awarded a proportion of the pension as her own personal income. I'm sure that most husbands would rather that their wives took this action than become destitute.
Could anyone offer Spectator readers some free legal advice?
