Timely obsession

Sir: Beryl Bainbridge has recently become obsessed with J.W. Dunne's theory of time (Diary, 18 October). It is an obsession I have had for most of my life, and my interpretation would be a little different: time is three-dimensional. It does not 'flow'. Past, present and future are the same, which we can only experience subconsciously (as in our dreams). Thus `life after death' really means 'nothing dies'?
