Sir: The predominantly liberal press in the United States syste
matically denies a hearing to those who disagree with it. Its idea of objectivity is that everyone should think as it does — and everyone think just about alike! There are a million good arguments for being a supporter of the present administration in Washington and a great many that are not reactionary in the slightest, but a matter of good common sense. As to Al Capp's article, I too am a resident of Cambridge. I find it hard to understand why Kenneth Galbraith is taken so seriously there. There are many people in Cambridge, which is, after all a university city, whose opinions are far more weighty and worthwhile than his. But they are muzzled by the violence which liberals foster, as a kind of unconscious adjunct of their desire for power at any cost! I agree with Al Capp. Only I consider that even for the left, who find the Democrats too tame, President Nixon has far more to offer, at least for the time being.
